I have had the privilege of being both a guest on several podcasts and a host for InterVision’s Status Go podcast. To see only those on which I was guest, select the Category “Guest”. For episodes I hosted, select the Category “Host”. Thank You!

In March, I was honored to be a guest on the Leaders of Transformation podcast with host Nicole Jansen. In the conversation, I explain how the role of the CIO has evolved and why it’s necessary to build strategic partnerships with your IT vendors. He also describes several examples of traditionally non-tech industries that are being transformed through innovative technology and foresight. Don’t be left behind! Listen in and discover how you can drive differentiation in your industry using strategic planning and technology.

Our world needs more people who will step up and be a Leader of Transformation. Leaders who elevate others, empower them, give them a hand up, and encourage them to be their best. Who replace fear, doubt and judgement with faith, hope and love. Who take the lead and encourage new habits that support the health of our planet, our relationships and our life experience. It starts with leading ourselves first. Listen to more episodes here:

As part of DoubleHorn’s C-Level Chats, I sit down to discuss preventing disasters and the misconceptions behind data security.

Double Horn is an independent, unbiased cloud services brokerage company based in Austin, TX delivering public cloud infrastructure solutions. In their C-Level Chat series the discuss business strategy and thought leadership, guiding through C-suite executive experiences.

In this episode, I joined host, Julie Kratz, to discuss diversity. In this series, Julie paired two leaders in back-to-back interviews. I was paired with Nicole Jansen of Leaders of Transformation and Discover the Edge

Diversity is a dialogue.  Those that are “non-diverse” and “diverse” need to have conversations together to close the gaps facing women in leadership today.  Both Nicole and I speak to the power of diversity beyond race and gender, defined rather in terms of experiences.

The Pivot Point podcast is for leaders looking to develop and retain top leaders through engaging women leaders and male allies in a dialogue to facilitate positive change, with proven techniques, stories, and strategies to promote gender equality. Status Go – Episode 75

The CIOs first 30 days can be a blur. Mix in a relocation and a global pandemic and it can be more than just a blur, it can be chaotic. After having been a bank CIO for over a decade, an acquisition forced Gary Kern into a job search, a job search that ended successfully as he became a CIO at a different bank, in a different city, with different patrons.

When Gary and I sat down for this conversation, he was days away from wrapping up his first 30 days. In fact, Gary and his wife were closing on their new home that very afternoon. Our conversation covered a wide variety of topics and some great insights for navigating the first 30 days. Lessons and insights that are valuable whether you are facing a pandemic or not!

The Future of Work. A tantalizing topic technologists have pontificated about for years. In this episode of Status Go, I have a chance to chat with Neil Miller. Neil is the host of The Digital Workplace podcast. For those of you thinking this is about some future society…spoiler alert…the future is now and the digital workplace is happening before our eyes.

We cover a lot of ground in this conversation, but what really stands out for me is the insight into the skills of a leader when the office is no longer the center of gravity. In the digital workplace, the role of the leader changes from one of management to one of humanity. Neil makes the great corollary, that this concept applies to teachers in the digital, virtual classroom environment.

Want to gain an understanding of the changes happening around us? Listen to this conversation!

Status Go – Episode 72

#RaceinTechOK, I am a white host of a podcast, representing a predominately white company (InterVision) in an essentially white industry (tech). The last several weeks have forced me to confront my own inaction. In this episode, I sit down with Lamont Hatcher, CIO, and Wayne Patrick, CRO, both of AIS, an IT Managed Service company. We get honest and we get raw about their experience of being black in tech, being black in America, and being leaders of change.

If you are like me and want to learn and want to grow, you will want to listen. We cover aspects of their careers, how they persevered, and how they grew to be the leaders they are today. Lamont and Wayne also share some great insights for what we as tech leaders, as business leaders, and as human beings can do to turn the tide and make a difference.
