I have had the privilege of being both a guest on several podcasts and a host for InterVision’s Status Go podcast. To see only those on which I was guest, select the Category “Guest”. For episodes I hosted, select the Category “Host”. Thank You!
It’s not often I get to speak to someone who is equally passionate about Lewis and Clark as I am. I was thrilled to be a guest on The Good Life podcast to talk about the leadership lessons that can be gleaned from the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Host, Sean Murray, and I dig into the expedition in Part I of this two-part interview. Having authored a microbook titled Everything I Learned About Leadership…I Learned from Lewis and Clark and numerous blog posts, I enjoyed the conversation with Sean.
In Part I, we talk about vision, team building, accountability, and diversity as we trace the footsteps of Lewis and Clark on the first part of their epic journey. Listen in…you will be amazed at the lessons we can learn from these men, a woman, and, yes, a dog from over 200 years ago. Join us on the journey!
I recently had the privilege of sitting down with Tim Campsall of TBC ActionCoach to talk about launching a business during a global pandemic! Tim is providing a great service to small business owners to spotlight their business in this time of economic distress.
Host Neil Miller and I go deep on why IT departments can no longer be known as the department of “No”. Technology is now at the center of most businesses. In face, very few industries can survive without technology. IT leaders must be seeking ways to drive the business forward, create new revenue streams, interact with the customer…and the customer’s customer. IT is core to the future of work! Status Go – Episode 81
2020 certainly has been the year of chaos. However, it is not the first time organizations have faced chaotic times. Leadership development expert, Sean Murray, discusses the advice he has given to some of the most iconic brands in the world. He dissects 2020 and provides his advice to leaders today.
In this conversation, we discuss a corporate brand versus a personal brand and how those two need to intersect for us to feel engaged. We then bring these lessons to the IT leader and how they can help their teams focus on the company’s mission.
Sean and I (along with Jared Nichols and Matt Walker) are developing a leadership development experience based on Lewis and Clark, so of course, I have to slip in a surprise question about our heroes!

Status Go – Episode 80
In May I had the honor of hosting a webinar with four amazing CIOs. Mark Grimse vice president of IT for Robert Half, Mike Hineline, chief information officer at Indiana Public Retirement Systems, Mandy Huth, vice president of cybersecurity at Kohler, and Fleming Meng, chief information officer for Human Good. The reaction from the attendees was outstanding, so we decided to release the audio in three parts on Status Go.
This series follows these four leaders chronologically. In the first episode, we discuss their immediate reactions, personally and professionally. If you haven’t listened to the first segment be sure and check it out AND look out for episode 3!
In the second episode, we discuss their plans for the immediate future: returning to the office, the challenges and benefits of remote work, and the privacy and security concerns over contract tracing.
In this third, and final installment we take a more distant look into the future. What plans were changed? What lessons were learned? How has 2020 altered their thoughts for the future? Join us as we learn from these four leaders!
